do any of you have any experiance in doing this? plz help

I have no experience with the actual breeding, but I do know that many of the Lepomis species hybridize quite readily. I've seen bluegillXgreen sunfish, bluegillXpumpkinseeds, and bluegillXlongear hybrids

Check fish farms for pics. of hybrids. I've caught hybrid gils in southern IL that were 12"+ slabs.

wow thats huge lol o on goodgle i saw a pic of farm raise hubrid gils that were 3 inches this and 5 pounds!

it's been a while since i crossbred any sunfish but it's relatively easy.

get a tank with a footprint of at least 24x24 and you'll need about 2 inches of medium grade sand, no sharp edges. the hard part is finding males and females of each species. a trick i learned in school, make sure the female is the bigger fish of the two or do all males of one and all females of the other. add plants and put them on a light cycle of 11-13 hours. not sure of water temp, feed worms until ready, not fish food

well i got a male bluegill and a green sunfish now and now for e to try it :)
