Yesterday night, when I went to the fishroom, I saw the NGT which usually has solid colors had become really pale, from bright yellow it had gone to dull flourescent.

After a certain amount of time I saw the fish swimming haphazardly and even gasping, a few times it started to swim upside down as well.

I wasn't sure what had happened, so immediately did a large water change and added a large airstone to the tank to increase the oxygen levels.

Today morning I see the fish is alive and in better colors and is even swimming upright. But I notice a big gash on its left operculum just beside the mouth.

Well today night after twenty four hours I can see that the NGT is now perfectly normal, but its face is a bit swollen, the other thing that I noticed is the BD ray sting's skin sheath hasn't torn or the sting isn't exposed.

Always a first sign is damage to the barbs sheath and white on the point.
