as i said, i'm not convinced about the hybrid part yet. Even if its an endli or lap (or lap-like), its still supposedly from a different river or different stretch of the river, ie. new location, which could explain the price they want. whether i'd pay the extra is another question. i saw some on a japanese site, and they're endli, but the price is couple times the normal. and as i mentioned, there may also be a lap i saw on the site (or lap-like, like how the koliba is lap-like). i'm not saying these are necessarily the same fish, but these are the ones from corbal i've seen. In any case, endli/lap/lap-like would be the most likely candidates imo, compared to a hybrid.
the sp. koliba is pretty pricey, right? but we're not saying its for sure a new species or subspecies, and it isn't a hybrid. it could be a guinea lapradei variant from koliba river, that possibility is not zero. When i first posted pic of the first imported specimen on couple forums, before it even has the name "sp. koliba", i simply called it "unknown", because it doesn't quite fit any of the bichirs i know, although i would say it looks like a guinea lap the closest (NOT the nigerian lap though) if i had to pick one, BUT there are definite differences between it and the typical guinea lap. Many however were saying it looks like a lap with exceptional patterns, not seeing what the differences are. But it points out the fact that it sure doesn't need to be a hybrid to cost extra.
