Why is it that (down in miami at least) it is so much more common to find rtc x tsn hybrids than just pure rtc or tsn? This goes for the marbles and oxy's as well. For every purebred, I see 20 hybrids. Just curious

Guess its gotta do with miami being point of entry for the rest of the world and maybe the fact that all these fish being bread out of asia most dont make it too far due to the poor conditions and genetic mass breeding stuff. So they are either bought or die before they get a chance to get else where. But thats just a guess.

good guess. anyone else?

Maybe they think that it'll be harder for a hybrid to breed in the wild just in case someone wants to release them.

Since when has any LFS cared about almost anything but $$$. I m sure theres some decent ones out there but still. To answer your question Onion1, its probably cause the hybrids look cooler (thats why i bought mine after being told it could go in a 30g:irked:).

Haven't the RTC and TSN been on the market for years now? Maybe they just want to try something different to entice those who have had their fill of the regular ginormous cats.

even on the mfk vendors stocklist it is easier to find hybrids
