hybrid eel?

i have a peacock eel that has stripes starting to turn orange could be a sign of hybridization?

more likely its surroundings, all of my spineys changes their colorations seasonally/stress/ect.. i would test your water perameters and see if anything is off, or if youve added a new tank-mate that might be stressing him out.. or he might just be "happy" and coloring up for you.

I think that is a One-Stripe Eel not a Peacock....

do one-stripe eels have four eye-spots on the there fin by there tail
