I have some fry from an odd couple. Not sure what to do with them.

I am pretty sure the male is a green mbweca (Green Afra)

The female I am not so sure of but I think it is a white tail acei. Only thing is her fins are not white but a yellow color. I read somewhere that WTA from the northern most regions of the lake can be yellow tipped.
Any guesses?

I stripped 8 fry from her and they had yoke sacks about 7 weeks ago. (It appears she is holding again but I’m not going to do anything about that) The 8 fry were placed in a holding tank.

Here they are after only about 2 weeks in. They are maturing well....

I’m not sure if I should raise them or toss them into the general population where they will surely be snacks for the larger mbuna and my multipunctatus.

The easiest thing would have been to either cull when stripping, or even easier, allow the female to spit in the main tank and allow the adults to eat them.

I’m not sure how I feel about hybrid mbuna these days. The box stores are full of them and although these fish would be with me I still feel like I am ruining my stock. The issue is these little buggers are so darn cute.

RD. I trust your opinion. Any opinion or suggestions?
