Im just getting back into keeping fish again after several years. I was into flowerhorns and stuff before and ive made some red texas once but i wanna do something different now.

I got about a 5 inch pair of texas right now plus 5 or 6 other smaller texas in my backyard. Ive been trying to decide what to cross them with. They are the blue texas (cyanoguttatus) not the green (carpintis)

I was thinking about crossing them with pink or marbled convicts or honduran red points if I can find any.

What's popular with hybrids right now? The last new thing i remember was thai silks but I never really liked them.

The “blue texas” is not cyanoguttatus. Carpintis can be more green or blue depending on the catch location.
