Hybrid/Kenyi?

Ok guys, I am attempting to start evening out my m/fm ratio. I got what was suppose to be a female kenyi, and I thought she was too until I got her home. Looking at my other fm I don't think she is...maybe hybrid, or do you think she is something else all together? I am posting a pic of hte one I already have also, so you can see the difference I am talking about, or am I crazy, or does she just looked stressed so her colors aren't as bright?

I am still kind of new to this but i think the fish u have looks a lot like this female kenyi. It is from http://cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=798 there are more pic of the fish with colors ranging from a beep blue to a lavender like yours. Hope this helped.

The first 2 pic's are my fish that I've had..it is kenyi, it is the other that I am wondering about. Maybe she is kenyi and just a not as dark in color as the other?

Ok, I feel better now that she is Kenyi, after looking at the "young FM" and the "fm" pic there is a huge difference in color the young looks alot like mine in question, the second looks like the one I've had.

cool! i never knew kenyi's color range from deep blue to that pale color.. i have one and he is a pale powdery blue like the one in your pics 3-5.

I didn't realize their colors varied so much either. My males before they turned yellow..were all really close to the female I already had.
