Hi, this is the remaining 1 of 3 fish I got a few months back I think i posted a question on what they were and got a response of Tex x Syn.

But Its doubled in size since then, confirmed female (laid eggs).
I guess my question is, is it really texas x syn, or just some subspecies of Vieja?? I'm thinking Vieja Fenestratus ??

I should also add.. when it laid eggs, its breeding dress was exactly same as Texas... Black everywhere including under the chin, but white on the face and eyes... so hence i don't doubt if there is texas in there...

Can anyone help to confirm?? I duno if its hybrid or pure??

Thanks ALL ! :)

Looks a lot like a Vieja Argentea without the black on its head.

I think the original guesses are right, Syns x Carpintis.

Yeah definatly a carpintis hybrid. Hybrids are always hard to say for sure, ecspecially when its a female.
But I really think it looks like a Paratheraps Fenestratus X Carpentis. I want to say that because theres more facial worming than a normal carpentis, but then again could be escondido. Chance of bifa as well. Shes a very nice version of a red tex, Thats all i can say for sure.
