I had a Midas and a Purple Parrot in a 55 gallon planing to upgrade. I saw them both digging at a corner of the tank and biting any other fish who dare came by. I was pretty new to breeding so I wasnt aware of the behavior. I ended up spliting them apart since they were being agressive. I could have ended up with a Hybrid of Midas and Parrot, yet I splited them apart! They worked together to fend of any fish. That was a couple of years ago, we ended up giving the Midas away and the Parrot recently died because of a power outage :( I regret ever since!

Purple parrot???
arn't those dyed???

Oh well you saved us from another wierd looking hybrid!

most parrot hybrid fry look horrible to me i saw a convict parrot hybrid that looked more like a toy than a real fish lol.

Yes I beleive purple parrots are dyed. (dont they only come in orange red and some other freaky colour normaly?)

My Purple Parrot wasn't dyed, eventhough we got them from Wal-Mart. I made sure of that because it was in its normal color. Jellybean Parrots are most defininetly dyed. My purple parrot was an orange color. There are blue ones too but they are most certainly dyed.
