I know it must be possible, but the success rates might be low, have Temensis Pbass been bred with butterfly bass.

I can’t add any useful info I have never had my bass breed, I have had a wc broko lay eggs multiple times for me with frequent water changes cooler than tank water temp. So I hope you find the info you need on here sounds interesting
They hybrid bass all the time now in Asia... kels,monos,ocell,Xingu, orino’s, azuls, tems, and who knows what else these days
Do hybrids show better traits then the parents in Pbass, and are speckled hybrids bigger then the non-speckled species(butterfly maybe?) but still smaller then the speckled parent.
I have seen some really nice looking kelzul’s and some really ugly kelzuls but I think it’s hit or miss and it seems to be more on the ugly side tbh, poor colors poor body and or head shape. Same applies to mono/ocel hybrids pure mono’s and pure occel’s look stunning but the farmie mono/occel hybrid most of the time do not look good. This is just my opinion and it doesn’t always apply but it seems on the higher percentage of the time it does, others may vary good luck with what you are trying to accomplish I would rather not have hybrid cichla’s in my tank been there done that, stingrays are a whole different ball game though
I have seen some "Ocellinae" (Ocellaris x Melaniae). They were beautiful.
