I am listing all the fish I am growing out at the moment for feedback on what combinations could make the best looking hybrids, and what fish might not be a good idea to breed. Some are too small to sex at their present size so I am keeping my fingers crossed. The flowerhorns are either housed by themselves or in a divided tank. The pure cichlids are all in a 135 gal community setting.

In order from largest to smallest.
1: 5" female rd fader.
2: 3 1/2" male kml
3: 3 1/2" sex unk. kml
4: 3" texas (cyanno) not sexed
5: 3" red devil not sexed
6: 2 3/4" synspylum not sexed
7: 2 1/2" rd fh (95% sure it's male has had a kok since purchase @ 1 1/2")
8: 2" bp not sexed
9: 1" "monkey-faced fh not sexed obviously

I am providing all these fish with the optimum conditions for rapid growth with the exception of the female rd (trying to catch the others up so she doesn't destroy them during breeding).
I know it would depend on the sex of most of these to say what possibilities I have for breeding, and I will vent them all when they are of size. I am hoping the bp is fem. and the cyanno is male to try for some red texas. Could I breed the devil and synspylum to get kkp? I am definitely going to breed the flowerhorns when the time comes. What combinations you would try?

check to see if you can see a black blotch on the texas dorsal fin. if there is, its most likely female, if not, most likely male

No blotch to speak of. I thought about that combo too. It would have awesome colors and pearls. I was actually hoping for a male texas and female bp. But I'll take what I get. If the bp turns up male I'll be looking for a new home for it.

Just added a carpintis to the list. Might be female as it has a little bit of black on the dorsal but at 1 1/2" I can't be certain.
