Hybrid Texas cichlid

I know how some people feel about the hybridisation of cichlids or any species for that matter.

I had a grow out tank and threw a couple of parrot cichlid fry in there after some time I saw less and less of them I assumed the worst and I bought a blue Texas fry and sure enough a pair formed.

Tell me what you guys think? I am aware that this cross may also be responsible for the red Texas cichlid. This is the female and she is amazing. View attachment 1439854

Welcome aboard, and thank you for sharing.

She looks great! There is a place for keeping species and catch locations pure, and many on here focus on that. But there is also a place, many of us feel, for making hybrids in the attempt to make more colorful and more interesting fish. Do you have pics of any of the others or the parents?

Unfortunately we don't I got alot flak for breeding them so I gave them to a local pet shop owner he just came and took them after my ad posting on kijiji. You said there was a place to post hybrids?

I know the female was a red mammon or something similar I could be spelling it wrong
