not a rare species. jus rare in sd... i live in sd and have never seen one avail in any lfs. if ur lookin for a baby rtc tho PM me. i live in sd n jus picked one up yesterday for 19 bux.

We have been here before. In the UK they are now getting quite common they grow quick and eat like pigs. No one knows how big they get yet have had my one for a year he has gone from 4 to 18 in a year but I dont stuff them with food like some people do. You will need a very large tank or a pond and fish that cant fit in his rather large mouth. Just look at it as another RTC. Large tank, large water changes and a lot of food.
