Pics are pointless as you cannot see what I'm about to talk about through my washed out camera.

My convict which according to the general concensus @ MFK is male has a slim and long strip of neon blue on his pectoral fin the area farthest from the head. Their is no blue anywhere else along his body and he has no spots. Just the regular gray/black striping. Could he have jack dempsey blood in him? Perhaps numerous generations ago which would mean the dempsey blood is very dilluted but still their. The blue is extremely pronounced and resembles the atypical ebjd light blue. Albeit on just a slight portion of his body. Thoughts?

that's regular convict

I have heard that male convicts have a little blue on them so if it has blue it is probibly a male. It's bellys not all that red so I gues that proves it is just a palin ole male con.
