so i found a really good deal on these, so i bought one to try it out and it flows water great. now my question is where do i place it for best flow in the tank. its in the 220, 6L x 2W x 30"T. anybody use these? if so whar are you opinions. i ask because with powerfilters youre basically limited to the corners of the tank.

I directed the water towards the filter from the opposite side of the tank. Until one of my cichlids either didn't like where it was at or bumped it accidently and the cover fell off...Exposing the prop where that laid on the bottom till discovery the next day...Watch them around large fish they'll damage them.

It depends on your tank layout & what you are using it for. I have a Koralia 4 in the right top front corner of my 220G angled about 35 degree downward to push the debris towards the back corner where the filter intake is. You just have to play with it to get it to do what you want it to do.

Just make sure the cover is latched properly to keep it from getting knocked off. The main cover rotates & latches to secure it. The front guard just snaps into the main cover. If it falls off, there is a danger of fish getting caught in the rotor.

I'm pleased with how it works, I just hate seeing it in the tank.

I use toe of the 4's on my 220. I have overflows in each rear corner so the koralia's are in the front corners about 4-6" below and level with the water line. If your fish are big enough don't bother with the front guard. I've never been able to get them to stay attached and you get a wide stream from the pump.

i have two in my planted tank. they are in the upper corners towards the back, pointed in a X pattern...

I have 2 of them in 6' tank that is 30" deep. This tank has overflows, so I put the powerheads on each end of the tank near the bottom. It really helps with the circulation down low on a deep tank like this. I don't use the little guards either, they just fall off on mine.
