my koralia recently just started making a really loud rattling noise, i thought it was the pump but when i plug in the pump without the impeller there is no noise...anyone experience this? i am having the same problem with my aquaclear impeller, it rattles and when i take it out it almost sticks to the shaft, do i need a new impeller?

hmm. i'd say new impeller but i dunno, i have had no issues with mine yet...

I have had this issue with other power heads, it was always a broken propeller causing a vibration. I have also seen sand stuck in the propeller well causing friction and again vibration.
