hydraulic ram pump question

These pumps work on the basis of moving water & no electricity. So, let us suppose I build an above ground pond about 30" high, with an overflow at 25" and the pump sitting at ground level. Will the force of the water flowing out through the overflow be enough to power the pump and back to the pond, thus making it a close self-circulating water system? Thanks for any info. Dan
