Hey hey hey just saw some Hydro gar ( i kno not a true gar) was wondering about requirements.... and will it okay to put these guys in my pond? would be with some floridas, but i think the hydro's id be picking up will either be smaller ,round the same size or even bigger then the floridas. just need to kno there agression to decide which size i should get.... thanks!

I'm pretty sure that those fish are Boulengerella maculata, a species of characin.
From what I have read, they top out at 12", so they'll probably become gar food eventually, so I would avoid mixing the two groups of fishes. That's just my 2¢.

hmmm okay i wont put them with the gars then.... i can put them in my other pond then. but can they go in cooler waters?
Umm not cold water.. 74-82 maybe 82 is a little high. I would not keep one lower than 72. May die at that stage. Quite small for a pond. You would be looking for a needle in a haystack. How big is your pond?
2,000G so I wouldn't see them much . I sometimes even have a hard time finding my channel cats lol . But i kinda like looking for my fish In my pond all of a sudden ill see my gar hunting it just looks so natural that way imo
