I got a couple of these today and do they eventually sink? I have tried to squeeze out as much air as possible but they still float. PIA to weight down. Does a air pump move enough water of should I use a powerhead. It is just supplimental mechanical filtration for breeding periods.

thanks

they will sink....eventually

I finally got them to sink, kinda amazing the hydro V is rated for 125 gal. seems pretty weak looking with a air pump.

Depends on the air pump. I get what your saying though I am only using one sponge right now but its on a 10 gallon betta tank so I cant really say. :)

Never heard of it. Whats the CFM or PSI ? I am in love with my luft pumps I got recently safely adjustable and up to 7 psi fairly quiet just pricey at around 60 bucks.
