Ok, we know that peroxide and your bio filter ( bacteria ) definitely don't get along. Ok, it will KILL your bio.

But, anyone here used it with everything turned off. Then taken water out, dilute and do that again?

Is there an amount that would not kill the bio filters?

Reason I ask, I have some fungus on the alevins ( trout ) and hydrogen peroxide is super cheap for THIS application of only 100Gallon tank.

I already did a salt treatment of 8 pounds. But wanted to try peroxide next week.

The state pathologist told me within 15 minutes most would be dissipated, and that is what the time frame I was looking at for treatment. But I've read 24 hours elsewhere in terms of total dissipation.

Would I be safe to empty 1/2 of the water out after 15 minutes, pump it around a little bit by hand and then empty out another half and then turn on the filters?

I have used Hydrogen peroxide to treat a 55 gallon on a sump, for columnaris bacterial infections, I slowly poured a quart in (with fish still in tank), throttled back flow to the sump to add retention time. I did not notice any ammonia spike afterwards, probably because it is a fairly weak oxidizer. I assume by the time the residual peroxide made its way to biomedia, detritus, the target bacteria, and any other metabolism by-products had neutralized it.
I had also figured all the fish would end up dead anyway, and it was a bit of a hail Mary.
After the treatment, only one fish died.

Interesting, thanks.
I may try it . The alevins are so young ( 1 1/2 weeks ) I can't really feasibly dip them out and treat in a tub like I have done in the past.

Salt seems to be the answer for now at 8 to 12 pounds per gallon for 15 minutes or at the lower end 8 pounds over night. Plus it doesn't mess up the filters.

But I feel the H2O2 may 'hit' it harder. I don't expect sap fungus just "basic" whatever after hatching.

Thanks again.

I've used a cup of peroxide in a 36g tank to fight bba and witnessed no negative affect. I dosed to peroxide with the filter off and a wavemakers running for 30 minutes for circulation then did a 75% wc. Pretty sure I saw cheap wavemakers for around$10 on Amazon if you don't have one already.
