I am making plans for a Armatus dedicated aquarium. I have an immense bank of knowledge about planted aquaria but little about the monster fishes, since plants and the monster fish do not exactly go hand in hand. I would love some suggestions on tank size and filtration type. What I am hoping for is a group of about six or more individuals. What I understand is that these fish are slightly territorial but they do get along with each other. Correct? I would like to start with a moderately sized aquarium and then move up in size as the fish grow. What is their growth rate and the proper diet? Can they thrive on prepared dry foods with the occasional frozen food supplement? Will they bother aquatic plants? (eg. uproot them) Any random information besides what I have asked for is more than welcome!
