hi everyone im new here and not sure if this is the right place to post but i recently picked up a scomb about a week ago about 6 inches long and is housed in a 100g for now with a silver arowana about the same size. i put goldfish in to see if it will eat and the first night it ate, which meant the fish must be comfortable. i never seen it eat but when i turn off the light and watch, it would chase the goldfish untill its almost touching then it would stop turn around and hover in its place again. and for some reason the goldfish only gets its attention when its above the scomb. when the goldfish is directly in front of it, it wont go for it. kinda confused on why it would do this.

It's a territorial thing it chases the goldfish to get them away from its' turf,it will eat when hungry. As to your fish's personality only you can observe learn no one on here can tell you specifics about that behaviour as our may not do it.(I don't keep these now).Part of the hobby is enjoying our fish as long as it isn't showing any health issues just relax.
