I've had a group of scombs in the past. I would recomend tats instead. They are a lot hardier. As far as how many you could have that really would depend on the level of maintenance you are willing to do and the filtration you hhave setup. I would presonally do somewhere from 6-9 with a black background and various live/plastic plants.
Eh, but it's a lot better than buying Scombs at 60-75 a piece, get a whole school, and have them die on you in 2 years. Tats grow larger anyways.. eventually max of ~18" so your school doesn't necessarily have to be that big either, as they'll eventually fill out. anddd not to mention tats have much better personalities
oh ive seen scombs for 40 bucks a pc by me. i cant cee myself spending a grand on tats. if i was gonna do that id have a cross hatch trigger for my reef tank!
