Hi,

I am looking for a small approx 6" plant friendly pleco. Of course no pleco is truly plant safe due to their general size, waste and movement which can uproot plants. But ideally looking for something that is not interested in plants at all. THe tank is mainly soft stem plants that I dont think they could hold onto and rasp, but there is a particularly nice red swordplant I dont wish to resemble swiss cheese.

So a pleco with a more protien led diet would be ideal? I came across the above Hypancistrus Sp. Angelicus L136 in my LFS at around 3-4cm currently. I can see online they are omnivorus leaning towards carnivorus and reach around 9cm or 4-5 inches.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with these?

The carnivorous plecos are Scobinancistrus, Pseudacanthicus and Leporacanthicus. They tend to leave plants alone - or at least mine do. Many of these are really beautiful too. And many get big.
