Hypothetical question.......

At parity, I think the snakehead would win due to it's better dentition. At max sizes, snakehead no contest.

I'm morbidly curious as to why you are asking this, and quite concerned what the answer may be....

No need to worry I dont believe in animal cruelty like I said it's hypothetical. Jars have such a bad rep I was jus curious

+1 depends entiretly on the arsenal
I have had a jar , they are badass . Never had a large snakehead.
But agree with the dentition.
I think a fight would be a long drawn affair with many battles and scars . Not a match of few rounds for sure.

Jar is a bruiser that could whip just about any fish at parity, but I don't think it could knock off a giant snakehead. Two fish with comparable attitudes, but one has much better weaponry. Unless the Jar has a good size advantage, I can't imagine it taking out the Channa.

Yeah I kinda figured it would be the snakehead. Jars are so badass thou. What about a full grown 4ft silver aro

Assuming they are the same size I think the odds would still be in the snakeheads favor, kinda hard to compete against the micropeltes set of teeth.

I think a silver would get murdered against a giant snakehead, too. A four foot silver IMO couldn't handle a three foot snakehead. It would take something like a grown ATF to hope to win against a snakehead at even sizes. Even then, it would be tough. The ATF would have the better weapons, though not by much, but I still think the snakehead would have the bigger cojones.

Pound for pound, there's not much that can take a snakehead. Some really nasty piranha, like an enlongatus, could probably give a snakehead a run for it's money inch-for-inch and pound-for-pound, but where are we gonna find a three foot P?
