Hypothetically would this work?

Yeah, get rid of the ID. You're just waiting for someone to come along and tell you that keeping it in your 30g is a good idea?

Same concerns with the angelfish getting beat on. Listen to the posts above me, they've got some good info.

If you remove the ID shark from the mix, you might be able to get away with the setup, esp. if the redtail shark is a full grown adult.

you will have more option without tose id sharks, dont be stubburn its better for u and for the fish they grow pretty quick. Theres nice catfish out there that would do better if u like that catfish look. oscar will grow faster than ur redtail shark. I bought a red tail 1" and in 2 years it was barely at 4" and they are harassers.

ugh. I do get where you guys are comming from. for one he's not in a 30g? I dont' know where you got that too. and Yeah .. If I could find something else that looked as much like a shark (I don't like the look of catfish but these actually look like sharks somewhat to me) .. So you guys should give me the name of something that looks like a shark that doesn't get as big as the iridescent. (and you guys should stop calling it id .. just for reference thats a different fish .. paroon = ID .. which is a different fish) either way can someone help me find something that looks as much like a shark. The bala's and red tail don't at all to me. They have more of a fish look. and the columbian sharks look too much like cat fish. the iridescent is the only one i've been able to find that looks somewhat shark like besides the paroon which i decided against because they get even bigger. So anyone that can find me a picture and name of a fish that looks as much or more like a shark would be a great help. If not the iridescent stays. Anyways .. that wasn't really my question. I was more asking towards the oscar and angel fish. Because I haven't really done much research on them otehr then what I've seen people say here.

ive never seen anyone call a paroon shark an id shark. thats what most people here call iridescent sharks. as for the oscar and the angel fish the oscar gets waaayyyy bigger and might tear up the angel fish. have u seen a four line catfish? a pictus catfish? same movement as a id shark. yet dont get so big.

What size tank?
