what would a male Hypsophrys nicaraguensis be like in a sortive community with rams and and maby 2 keyholes and 1-2 eartheaters and a bunch of big tetras in a 75G,would he be too aggressive for the rams and tetras, also it will be a planted tank

it might be ok as long as the fish have plenty of room to hide when they need to. I have a large male in a 46 gallon and he runs the tank though he doesn't bother my bichirs. The rams may be too small. The keyholes should be ok as long as they are similar sizes....

there will be lots of hideing places, since it will be a heavely heavely planted tank, anyone have any suggestions on some nice plants that would fill out the tank nicely

I don't think it would be to good of an idea. It might work at first but they end up getting up to 10in or more.

Just my 2cents.

oh i know that they get a half decient size, thats why i'm aloso considering angels, anyone ever mixed angels with geo's

I have seen it done before.

Angels can deal with geos, and Nics. The reason I know that is because I had them all in the same tank for about 4-5 months. I recently lost my geo and my angel, so the male nic is the largest in the tank at about 5-6".

Let me just point out here that four or five months is nothing and your nic is not full grown and your angel is dead :screwy: So maybe that combo isn't as proven to work as you think it is.

look at the other fish on the list the likely killer is a jag. not the nic. nics. will be ok with geos. & keyholes.
