And by this i mean he is constantly swimming through all the levels of water in my tank. it seems he is never on the bottom i mostly see him in the fx5 current and hes so excited to se me because he knows hes getting fed he is still around 4-5 inches getting good coloration. is anyone elses rays extremley active as mine.

Its perfectly normal as long as the ray is eating well..
A new ray introduced into a new enviroment can be active in exploring the place..
It all depends on the ray's character.. An active ray is also a sign of good water..

My new 4" hystrix is very active as well. I was also worried at first because he was always up at the top near the inlets of the filters, but he eatswell and is becoming very healthy. They say some are just active, and an active ray is not usually a bad thing.. congrats on an active ray
