anyone got any idea how much a 6" disc hysrtix should cost over here in the UK? one of my lfs had one for sale at £150!!! same price as a motoro the same size! i maybe wrong but i thought hystrix were one of the cheapest rays!

retics are often listed as hystrix which is why people think theyre cheap. a true brazilian hystrix will cost you quite a bit. just i guess but id say anywhere in the $300-600us area.

It used to be dirt cheap before the ban. I got my first pair for under a 100 euro years back.
You can get them for around 70-100 euro pcs in holland and germany. That will be your best bet.
Trying looking on aquarist classifieds!! A friend of mine just bought an arapiama from a company called aquatic oddballs!! If they don't have what you are looking for they contact someone they work with as I am interested in a leopoldi from those guys!!
