Hello I have a hystrix ray ive had for about a month now and it has this brown spot on its belly right in the center but it doesnt seem to bother her and it hasnt gotten any worse. Could it just be like a birthmark type thing?
Hystrix ray has a brown spot on its belly. Should I be concerned?

take a pic, some of mine have like birth marks almost on them, nothing serious. but take a pic an post it if your worried
Well it wont let me attach a pic from my phone but I'll put it as my avatar so u can make better judgement, but if u say it's relatively common it seems fine and im sure she will b fine
Thanks lol im feeling better already. Its a great healthy ray that eats everything but just wont bite on the frozen shrimp, but it munches on everything else like different worms and ghost shrimp, even beefheart. It was shy at first but is now super active and eating well 
try thawing the shrimp first in a bowl of warm water. an maybe letting in soke with other food that the ray is alrdy eating. this might help her take that step to trying some. there is some good info on food an care for rays in the stingray section of the forums.
