Hystrix ray

Just bought my first ray. LFS was feeding it worms. What's a more healthy choice? I currently feed my fish pellets. What's your thoughts

Most people feed their rays shrimp, tilapia, or good quality pellets. But many aren't ever able to get their rays off of worms which are better than nothing.

I like to give my rays a variety of foods. Salmon, shrimp, tilapia, pellets, whatever they will eat. My Motoro ray do that well, I picked up a couple of marbles and they are still eating worms. I have had them eat crushed minnows as well but would like to see them eat other food instead. Just want to make sure they are healthy before I starve them a bit.

Thanks for replying guys. And the LFS was pets plus in Tewksbury but personally I like going to jays aquatics in salem nh.

Any pictures of your new ray? As stated above, a variety of food is good .

Soaking bits of shrimp in worm guts helped get mine switched over..gross but worked for me..
