Hystrix Rays and Fire Eel, Bichir

Can 1-2 Hystrix Rays and 1 Fire Eel and 1 Ornate Bichir be kept together without much of a problem?

I would recommend at least a 180g. but yes they will work together. Fire eels are pigs. If it likes what the rays like it may out compete them for food. If its small, then it should not be a problem.

I had a 24" Fire Eel before and it did ok with the other fish I had. It would take Nightcrawlers by hand. I do have a 180.

Some people have had problems with bichirs nipping at rays disk during feeding time some people have had no problems at all.

I would just keep a close eye on it if you decide to try it since they share the bottom living space
