HYSTRIX STINGER BLACK ?

My hystrix is doing great so im not to worried about health issues, but why did his stinger turn black and it looks hairy? Is this normal? I tried to get the best pics i could, and tried doing research before posting but couldn't find anything.

Pics kinda blurry but it appears that its sheath is coming off.

Mine looks the exact same way man an he's healthy I wouldn't worry about it

So i guess it will be back to normal once the stinger is finally shed?

I don't see a new stinger growing in. Usually the new stinger growing in will be about the same length as the old one before it falls off, and the sheath starts to come loose at the base of the stinger.

so should i not worry about this? Or is it something i should treat with salt and some ray safe treatments

As long as it is eating and acting normal I wouldn't worry. Just keep your water clean.......

should be fine, the venom sheath has just come off (maybe got caught on something in your tank). shouldn't be a problem.
