hystrix stingray

i looked it up but all its telling me is they get around 14 inch, but i was wondering if there fast growers or slow, mine has only grown like 3 inches in the yr in half that i had him, but also i read that he might not be a true hystrex stingray cause theres not many out there and that there a fake pretty much that the pet stores pawn them off as hystrex, any info would help ty all

oh and he eats really good, and i do my water changes like iam supposed to he eats 3 times a day. i feed them 3 times a day anyways

ya the pet store sold it to me as a hystrix so i took their word for it tyvm now i need to look it up and learn more about him

^^^ Second that. Not a TRUE Hystrix...but a really nice Orbignyi.
Most LFS will sell Orb/Retics off as Hystrix to command a higher price.

ya i got him for 200 so is that a good price, hes a good ray just wish i could hand feed them and trust them,lol to worried about gettin stung

To be honest a good price is only for the buyer to decide and not others. If you are satisfied and happy about the fish then by all means its a good price.

BUT in the market's perception it's not a great price nor a horrible price. I've seen Orbs going for around $75-$150.
