and also last night picked up this 55 gallon w/ everything for $50.00 :headbang2

sorry for the cloudiness, the lady was going to throw away the fish, so i took them; 2 good size pleco's, 1 6" angel fish, 1 6" bala shark, 3 gouramis, and 3 random tetras. it was a pain in the butt to transport a quarter filled tank an extra 10 gallons in arrowhead water jugs. i can't wait to get rid of the gravel.

so now, i'm stuck with what to stock it with...

1) 1 oscar in a barebottom tank, for people that only have one fish, does it get boring?

2) pool sand, rocks, and convicts or firemouths; 2 males 4 females

3) pool sand, rocks, plants and angelfish (since i already have one) maybe 6?

4) open to opinions

P.S. i don't really trust the stand, i put a jack under the middle to help support the weight, but i think i'm going to be building one after new years.

before anyone asks, the fish are already listed on craigslist... trying to rehome all of them.

Do you still have the BP that's in your avatar? If so, get another... What will you do with the fish you have now?? I mean, besides the angel if you go with that option...

Sorry we posted at the same time... hahha! Ok, never mind..

The oscar wouldnt work in a 55. How about an ebjd?

oscar is a no go, too big for a 55 - the angelfish have potential though, could make it a nice planted community

Nice score on the tank! Looks good. What type of filtration do you have on it?

55s are one of my favorite tanks :)

Should've used the $210 and bought a bigger tank. The 55g are very limited.

it's not the money, it's the space. :(

x2

If you are limited to the 4' footprint, 110 is only 6" deeper than the 55. What about a 4' 120??

My first house was pretty small and a 55 was the biggest tank I had....it sucked.

Either way....good job on flipping the tanks!
