I am so confused. For the last 3 or 4 days, the male has been trying to breed with my female jag., but she expressed no interest, but today I noticed a change!!!

I was watching my jag. pairs behavior today and something has def. changed for sure!!. The female is interested in breeding now ( she follows the male, and she is rubbing up against him, etc.), but the male acts like he wants nothing to do with her now. Why is this? He stays on one side of the tank, and when the female tries to go over to him, he chases her all the way back to her side. He acts like he is mad at her. LOL!!! Is this still breeding behavior, or is the male just throwing a tantrum?

Thanks MFK

Sounds abit like they can't make p their mind on where to spawn if their hanging in different spots. My trick is I make a central location with a Decca pot, partial water changes, up feedings and temp to 78* and bam. Give it a shot and see if it works for you.;) I just saw your tank so I see the porblem. Put in a peice of sheetrock, a large decca they can both get in, or even a plate would work. They just need a solid spot to spawn.
