Her hips finally gave up and we had to have her euthanized. Her heart and head were still in the game but her body just gave out on her. She was a great hunting partner, family member, and best friend. I am gonna miss my Dizzy blonde.

Sorry to hear you had to put your pup down.. I'm just dreading that day when it comes for me, my lab is 12+ years old now and slowing way down herself, hips are getting bad too.. :(
 
I'm so sorry for your loss I feel your pain , loosing a best friend is the hardest thing in the world to go through no matter how old they are , remember the good times only time will heal your pain
 
Thanks for the thoughts. We noticed our other dogs are missing her too last night. Out of nowhere my mastiff walked over to me on the couch and climbed in my lap! 210 pounds of pouting dog looking to cuddle on the couch! He has NEVER even been on the couch before. My wife just watched and laughed while he stepped all over me. A little laughter during those sad moments are nice.
