Ok...so im gonna start/design a website about Formula one [motor racing]..i have a few questions
Can i use the news from other websites/newspapers/TV shows and use it on my website? if i can,do i have to state that the news was taken frm the XYZ source?
And can i use the pictures frm other sites?
Do i need a licence/permission from the sports authourities of any kind?

and any other info that u might think will be helpfull to me is appreciated

cheers

thx for the quick reply man...
ive been following this website "www.planetf1.com" .....and all they do is kiss lewis hamilton's arse...
here's a problem....im gonna use most of the content from their website, but im gonna be hard on the british media and their media's partial media towards sportsmen,in other words im gonna be fair.. [im half british myself, nothing against them...its just sad to see them miserable]
and most of the news on that website i mentioned isnt their own....they always state "the daily reported that..." or "lewis hamilton told ITV"...
i dont think they are gonna give me permission to take their content to my website...

and can u be more specific about the details on how to proceed and any legal ramifications?

There are strict copyright laws out there with developing on the web. I would suggest taking some time and researching it before creating this website. Some websites don't want you to even link their site on your site, some don't care. It's just there is a ton of ways you can get into trouble and I really don't know the ramification if you break one of these laws.
