I've been posting here there and everywhere about tankmates and things for different fish trying to decide what to stock my new tank with. I picked up a 75 at a DGP sale at a lfs, and I'm pretty sure I want Ca/Sa's in it. I was originally going to stock a green terror with a couple geos for a sort of biotope community. However, I reallllly like JD's and have never had one. I'm leaning now towards 1 GT, 1 JD, and some dithers. Ah, and my girlfriend's blood parrot :screwy:....

Honestly, I'm open to any suggestions.

Gold Saum + clown loaches + yellow tail zig zag eel

I have a beautiful 75/90g stand with matching canopy and I'm debating between that or an African mix for my living room.

I was just thinking about this, but I'm not sure how it would work out with the blood parrot in there. Especially if they got frisky.

Well depending on the pair it could be risky, if you are willing to have another tank running for the bp, it can sometimes be beneficial for the pair to have something to chase as to prevent aggression inside the pair. But its not worth risking your bp over.

I love Severums. Peaceful, small mouths(so they can't eat all your fish), can be very pretty albeit less so than others mentioned here.

Have you considered Discus? I know that can be a scary word but they aren't THAT hard to keep successfully. Super super super gorgeous.

GTs are super pretty too,

Firemouths are fun and pretty as well.

All super generic choices from me. Sorry:/

No - I really do appreciate your input! Actually, the 55 that the BP is currently in I plan to plant and possibly start up with some discus! I've never kept sevs before either, and I have actually really been looking in to getting some firemouths lately. I assure you, your choices aren't generic :)

Find a nice pair of Salvini. Gorgeous fish, not too large, and can be pretty feisty. I had a pair in a 250 with jags, dovii, oscars, TSN, and red devils, and the Salvini would routinely spawn and raise fry.
