I know people say not to stress over snakes not eating but 2 of 4 of my snakes arent eating. The first one is a GTP which hasn't eaten in about 5 weeks. And the second is a baby corn snake thay has not eaten in three. The GTP is over two feet but lost a lot of weight. The corn is about 12 inches and also lost weight. My vet doesn't know whats wrong and is not helping. I honostly don't know if its because it is winter or something bbut its really annoying. They were all eating perfectly untill now.

I don't know if I should try assist feeding? I know how to do it because I had to do it for my ball for 3 weeks and now she eats like a monster!

I checked all husbandry issues, temps, etc

Do you live feed? If not try it..then later on switch over to frozen. Also which vet you go to? When I had my monitor I went to the middletown animal clinic the vet seem very knowlegeable.

My vet is avianexotics. I have tried live feeidng for the GTP but noth the corn.

Well, My GTP actually just took a fuzzy head and ate it on its own. Hopefully a good start?

Try fresh killed and brained mice. You are getting to the point you need to start worrying. Up the temps and tease feed until you get a strike. If that doesn't work, then go ahead and assist/force feed.

personally i would"nt try live if you can help it buddy! as its a nightmare to get them back on frozen! Also if you try tease feeding! Dont go hitting and proding the GTP with the food to get a strike!! It will just freek the snake out and make him eaven harder to feed!!
Is your GTP a male! if so it may be the time of year to fast!! alot of my snakes fast around october to feb! Has he produced eney sperm plugs!!
Try feeding at late evenings when lights are out!! Just wotch fingers!
5 weeks is nothing for a 2ft + GTP to go without food!

Healthy snakes do not loose that much weight when they are fasting naturally. My snakes haven't eaten since Nov. but they haven't really lost weight either.
If they are loosing weight then I would agree that it is time to worry. I would hope that you vet has tested them for parasites.
Snakeguys suggestions are good...
also give us a detailed description of your set ups for each.

My GTP is still small shes long and skinny, and way too young to sex. I am not really worried bout him because he ate a fuzzie head

I ran fecal tests on both of them when I brought them to the vet. There were no parasites. The GTP lost some weight but ate a fuzzy head last night. The corn still didn't eat and has not really lost any weight yet. Its only been 3 weeks for him.

My GTP setup is already on here the thread is here:

Since than I took the real stick out as she never liked it

As for my corn snake: he is in a ten gallon, I have dry eco earth for the bedding, she has a pretty large water bowl on the cool end, two small flower pots as hides that she fits snuggle into. As for heating I have an UTH on the hot end and a Low wattage infrared light just to raise ambient temps.

I think you are at the point where starting to worry is called for. An adult corn going 3 weeks without food is normally no problem at all...a baby is a different story. The GTP too some food which is great, but still doesn't mean you are in the clear.
I see the description of the corn set-up but what are the temps in there?
