Thanks man, He has been getting crazy lately but I never expected this. I decided to stop in the park on my way home for lunch, had I not needed a smoke, I probably could have saved him....

Gotta think of a better way to cool my tanks, open tops work, but.. maybe I'll try a net over the top, or just post "Beware of Falling Fish!" signs throughout the house...
You can cover tanks with egg crate, although with large fish like that oscar, it's a good idea to weigh the EC down with a brick or 2 in corners.
That's rough mate, i have a lid on mine but that does not stop them trying to jump. Ends up messing them up a bit too.
That sucks. Buy a cheap lid for your tank like the marineland ones. Depending on tank size they should run you about $100
