The pics will have to be a tease. It is new and is hiding in my driftwood reef.....I was unsure of its ID. Same LFS I got my two awesome thin bars. These were labled Mekong Dats and were marked 65.
I commented on there price....they were hiding in PCV and totally unstable. The non-regular/new guy told me I could have one for 55. We rousted them....about 4". They looked healthy but unstable. I passed.
I went back yesterday and they were both still there. I flushed them out and one was badly damaged...the whole dorsal and back looked bare....burned looking. The other looked fine so I offered the regular guys 55. They balked. I told them about the other guys offer....he was there and confirmed. The owner told me they were special and should ahve been marked 85 but he new they would not sell so high.....My thin bars were 30 same shop similar size....I paid 58.75 including tax.
Got it home and it is gorgeous. Clearly different than the Thin Bars. They all hang out together. Much shorter body....wider stripes, head is not the same as the other two. I will post better pics when it gains confidence in the tank. No one bothers the tiger pack.....not even my 10" IT.
