i broke a thermometer in my tank.

so i shattered a glass thermometer in my tank. i got everything out but those little metal balls at the bottom that weigh it down. there is no hope to get those out they mixed all in with my gravel.

are they made of lead and if so will they be toxic to the water?

use a magnet and find out... the old ones were lead.. most of the new ones are steel

i'll see if i can find any of them anymore, they all sank to the bottom of the gravel. when i was picking the glass out of it.
