okay so i went this morning to a nearby LFS to check if they already have a juvenile Arapaima that i want as a first tank mate for my 9" Alligator Gar.
but no luck so i just looked around..
then i saw a juvenile Clown Knife around 3" plus getting bullied by a smaller fish in a small tank. I looked closely and saw it's tail is already missing(like the bone and flesh is already coming out) and it's fins at the bottom of it's body are already ragged from other fish bites.
he looks exactly like this only smaller and without the tail. (sorry can't take a pic since my Blackberry went missing, so i just searched for a picture here in the forums, hope i'm allowed to use this)
so i really pitied this poor fella and the LFS owner doesn't seem to care so i just bought it. (first time i got a fish without doing prior research, so i feel not ready and a little nervous)
right now it's in a 75g tank with my 9" Alligator Gar.
I have a new 1200g but it's currently doing a fishless cycling.
i need a lot of help from you guys.
i'm very patient in doing research about fishes, just point me in the right direction for starters.
