hi all was messing with my 35g today test fitting a divider, was a bit snug so persuaded it in and then this noise which sounded like the filter was pumping water all down the wall but at the wrong end??? huh.... then i realise i burst the silicone splitting the middle part of the glass on the rear corner apart!
As its a small tank i pushed on it keeping the water in while the missus searched for a suitable large softish object to wedge between the wall and rear of the tank, we settled on a 2l lemonade bottle... of course i was choosing to mess with it just before we were heading out to dinner at my mums!!! Couldnt let me ol mum and nan down so i switched of the heater and left hoping for the best, just got home and she is holding, this particular tank has a hood built and glued to the glass so its holding the top and the bottom has a plastic rim too...
anyway told the missus we need a tank asap and to my surprise she agreed, we have found a 6 month old 100g juwel rio 300 10min from our house for £135 (£650 new), has some un wanted fish that come with, an oscar some silver sharks, few plecs and a blood parrot but ill just throw them in the 300g for now.... sooooo haha every cloud does have a silver lining, reseal the 35g and happy days back up to 3 tanks!-)
