Great picture! P. weeksii is probably my favorite bichir species. Striking dorsal-ventral contrast, barring on the dorsal surface, and that big fat pitbull-like head!

Cool fish, Is that the latin name for it? It's hard to keep track of the common names.

the sc. name is Polypterus weeksii. the only common name I've seen for this bichir is "fat head bichir".
