i crush a pair of glasses every year sooner or later

I was over at a friend's apartment. We went to the staircase to get "fresh air". I laid my glasses down on the steps and after we had our cigarettes, I got up and heard *crack*. I stepped on them with my BOOTS.
That's $400 in pieces.
Oh, and did I mention 3 months earlier I lost my Gucci glasses? Also about $400.
