I cant decide what fish to get.

I already have a pleco, pictus cat, and jewel cichlid in my 55. i cant decide to either get a some central/south americans or some africans. my gravel is tan and if i got africans i would get black to show them better. please help.

I would get some peacock african cichlids. They stay relatively small and have great coloration.

Bichirs get big for sure. Will outgrow your 55 gallon in no time.

Most upper jaw bichirs stay within 14" like Dels, Senegals, and Palmas. But Im unsure about keeping them with African Cichlids. I keep mine with my SAs and they ignore one another...but Im sure someone else on here might know.
