Saturday 10/4/08 i bought my first Arowana. The one i got had fin rot or some other disease and was dead the next morning checked my water no problems and my pleco seemed fine. so i exchanged it for a healthy looking one. Tonight it jumped out of the cutout for my filter and died. so aros are evil. btw im trying to find out whats the correct tempeture range for aros, internet and lfs bare varring answers.

I keep my HBRTG at around 82 degrees. I had a jardini for a couple of months (before I traded him in) at around the same temp. and he did fine. I liked the jar but the 200g tank looked too empty with just one fish.

You can always ask here where you can finalize your answers easily.;)

use bricks, rocks, plastic, tape, everything you can on the lid and over every hole. cover everything. you need to trap them like they're in jail or they WILL jump out.

78-84 degree water is great. ph doesn't really matter. change water regularly about every 2 weeks or so. super easy to care for. maybe it jumped out cuz ur tank is to small

I can't keep them either. :irked:

always secure cover tank... arowana is a great jumper... it is a hardy fish... just do the basic fishkeeping...
